Happy birthday to my wife today. Here’s a postcard I sent her awhile ago, representing her Chinese zodiac symbol.
Here’s the backside:
“From one dog to another, I miss my lady! (I know what you thought I was going to say!) Miss you so much.”
I got this postcard last year in Yorkville on my birthday. It was the perfect find for my birthday as it is a 3D postcard that shows my zodiac constellation, Capricorn.
Hope I get another great postcard today – truly an awesome birthday gift.
Happy birthday to me!
Happy Chinese new year!
For a new year’s gift I got this freebie postcard from Canada Post.
“Happy New Year. Celebrate the Year of the Ram. Stamps, souvenirs and collectibles. Canada Post wishes you good fortune and good health during the Year of the Ram….”
I guess I’m on their mailing list based on my recent postal card addiction.
Canada Post has been doing a stamps and postcards for the Chinese zodiac a few years now, but I haven’t seen mine – Year of the Dog. I missed their last one, so I guess I won’t see the my dogs until 2018.
It’s my birthday today. Having a birthday in January is not great – it’s too close to Christmas, the weather is usually miserable, and people are sick and tired.
But today the weather was beautiful. I’ve had a great day so far – I stayed up late last night watching superhero cartoons, slept in obscenely late, ate pastries galore that my wife procured for me, and now my wife is making a meal extravaganza for me while we prepare for an evening of watching superhero movies with the family!
I even bought myself the postcard sold by Canada Post as a birthday present to myself. Capricorns most definitely rule!
Canada Post produced a series of stamps – and postcards – of the signs of the zodiac. I was under the impression that Canada’s stamps were supposed to depict our culture, artistry, and history. I’m not really sure we should be celebrating dubious occult beliefs. But it does make a great birthday post!
I love Canada Post’s description of Capricorns:
A practical and persistent goat, Capricorn is the most stable and serious sign of the zodiac. But approach with caution: Capricorn’s mood swings are legendary, which explains why the word “Capricorn” is the root of “capricious!
It’s not too late to celebrate my birthday by sending me a postcard!! You can mail it to me here.
