KIMT News 3 – Postcards are a great way to share your vacation with loved ones. Or is it? The use of postcards is declining as more people turn to social media.
The U.S. Postal Service processed 770 million stamped postcards last year, down from 1.2 billion in 2010.
Experts said one reason for this is increased use of social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Instead of waiting for a postcard to travel through the mail, someone can share their vacation photo right after they take it.
