Spring has finally made it to my corner of the world. But instead of enjoying it, I have will be spending all of it grading term papers and exams.
But here’s to yearning to be out enjoying a Sunday in the park. (Although I may not be enjoying it as much as the woman with the monkey)
This is the famous, pointilist painting Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte by Georges Seurat. It’s at the Art Institute of Chicago, U.S.A.
Here’s the back of the postcard
“This is one of my favourite paintings and today was the second time I’ve seen it in person. It is made with countless tiny brush strokes that your mind then puts together!”
