On this day in 1969, the James Bond film On Her Majesty’s Secret Service came out. It’s certainly the most underrated of the series and probably my favourite one.
It’s the only film to feature George Lazenby as Bond. As with all Bond films it features incredible scenery – in this case a cool building on top of Swiss mountain as highlighted in this postcard:
The building was used as the headquarters of archvillain Blofeld and is now a revolving restaurant as the message relates:
“Gutentag from the top of Piz Gloria – where On Her Majesty’s Secret Services was filmed. I’m writing this in the revolving restaurant and feeling a little seasick.”
