My daughter knows my two great loves of my life (other than her) are postcards and superheroes. So when she won a contest at a local fair and got to choose her prize, she got me this amazing treasure:
A superhero postcard – my favourite kind!
And Wolverine, is, of course, one of my favourite superheroes (and not just because he is from Canada too).
I also love that my daughter decided not to get herself a prize, but as she knew how much I would love this she got me a prize instead. Here’s the reverse side with a message from my kid:
Postcard message:
“To Daddy. I love you. This is the story of how I got this. I won a game at a fun fair. And I only had one prize ticket. I decided to get this for you.”
The postcard was likely originally from a touring science exhibit that stopped by our Science Centre. I wish we had checked it out when it was here, if only for their super postcards!
