The Collection is proud to announce its latest acquisition.
A fine specimen in and of itself – representing, as it does, a notable item in popular culture and strengthening the Collection’s valued celebrities gallery. Yet, this item is all the more valuable considering its hefty valuation. At $4.00 USD it now becomes the most expensive, non-gimmick postcard in the Collection!
Behold the Thriller:
This postcard is from a Cirque du Soleil (a Canadian company) production of Michael Jackson One in Las Vegas, USA. Here’s the backside:
“Oww, come on girl! More dancing, than cirucs but still fun.”
The Donor has kindly provided details on the circumstances and context of this most generous donation:
Yes, I gasped when I was at the cash register, but I liked them so I bought them anyways as they were a bit novel! I did nearly put a note of the postcards that they were to be treasured, but I know you treasure all of your postcards! And I do have one that I spent more than that on coming up to peak your curiosity.
The show was exactly cheesy and fun – including an Amazonian guitarist. It was less ‘circus’ and more ‘dance’ than the majority of cirque shows. The best part was definitely Thriller, which I think went on for close to 20 minutes and came right out into the audience.
While greatly enjoying our latest prized item, the Deltiology Deity eagerly awaits a new record-breaking costly item…
