Earlier this week it was my wife’s birthday. As a gift to her I won’t disclose how old she turned (but it is enough that we did have to have only a symbolic number of candles on her cake).
My wife donated her postcard collection to me. Below is one that she began as a young girl, but it was never mailed. I think it is a great way to celebrate her birthday.
The postcard is from the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) in Toronto. I’m not sure why of all the postcards the ROM would have had way back then that she chose a lute one. But the drawing on the flip side is what makes me really love this item:
The hair is what really makes this artwork – and the knees!
