The “wish you were here” message on postcard is an old standard. I’ve got many versions of the message over the years that it really does seem trite. So this postcard is refreshingly honest:
The postcard was a free promo card for a Toronto film festival. The reverse side doesn’t live up to the promise of the front however:
Wouldn’t it be great to see other honest postcards captions – like “Glad to get away from you?” or “I hate our home-town – this place is so much better!” or “This place would be better if I wasn’t so damn broke” or “Dammit I can’t believe I have here to return to our hellhole”. Any other ideas?
