For April Fool’s Day, here’s a suitable item I just got last week:
The public library near me was handing out these, which seem like nice, free postcards depicting the War of 1812. But check out the back side:
Why, it’s all set to look like a real postcard. Did it fool you? It fooled me (for a moment).
The recipient’s address area is pre-typed with the address of the gallery holding the event. It’s not something one could actually send (as it would be pointless to send this to the gallery itself). So it’s an advertisement, not a postcard (and not an ad postcard either).
